Wandering Thoughts

Our thoughts have no limits, no boundaries. In our thought world we can travel to anywhere without restrictions on time or money. We cannot control or hold or keep our thoughts contained. They fly like the wind; they arrive then they vanish, like vapors, or like a dream or shadow. Our thoughts keep us joyful or depressed, they take us to the mountain top and they take us to depths of the ocean. Our thoughts make us sad or defeated; sometimes they bring joy and a smile, victory and triumph. They are the captain of our ship. These thoughts are invisible.

Can anybody master his thoughts? Can we hold our thoughts captive? They are like air. Can anybody hold air in his hands? Thoughts rule over us.

When our wandering thoughts become polluted they pollute our spirit. They make us spiritually weak and vulnerable. They open the way for our adversary. It is easy for the adversary to creep in and increase the spiritual damage. He uses many tactics to harm us and this is one. When a person becomes spiritually weak, he can fall prey to so many spiritual weaknesses, even sickness, and other infirmities.

The enemy is very crafty; he aims to prevent the believer from contemplating his spiritual ill health. As a person becomes spiritually sick, the possibility grows that he could go to his spiritual death. People eat, drink, work, earn money, go to church, pay bills, give to the church, say their prayers, clap hands during worship, and play musical instruments in the church. Sometimes they preach but spiritually, some are sick and moving toward spiritual death. It is very sad and tragic. May God keep every believer safe from such condition!

Only God can protect us from sick, wandering, polluted thoughts.  He can work positively and constructively in our life, and for the betterment of other fellow human beings.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds ;)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

May God help us to keep our thoughts under His divine control and authority.
