Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
Psalm 140:4, KJV
Protect me, LORD, from the control of evil people, from violent men who have planned to trip me.
Psalm 140:4, ISV
O, Lord keep me! What kind of petition is this? What type of desire is this? What sort of cry is this?
Keep me from debt, protect me from sudden calamities.
Keep me O Lord, Protect me O Lord!
Save me O God! Rescue me O Lord!
From whom am I to be protected, O God?
O, God keep me from my enemies. O, God save me from evil people.
O, God keep me from sin. O, God keep me from jealousy and hatred.
Keep me from pain and panic. Keep me from disease and calamities.
Keep me from anxieties and tensions and depression.
What is the nature of your petition?
From what do you ask God to keep and protect you?
Keep me from the dangers of night. Protect me from robbers, terrorists and murderers. Keep me from prolonged sickness. Protect me from court cases. Keep me from jealous people. Protect me from pride. Keep me from ignorance and darkness. Protect me from family disputes, enmity, and hatred.
Keep me! Keep me, O God!
If You do not keep me, then I cannot be protected. I badly need Your help, protection and shelter. Rescue me O Lord.
I need Your caring hands and Your loving eyes.
Safeguard my thoughts, that they should not be scattered.
Shelter my contemplations that they should not be shattered.
Shield my opinions from wandering.
Keep me! O God keep me!
It is true that our God has absolute power to protect us. O Lord! You have the power to protect us from the winds of the present and the storms of the future. You are our refuge .You are our shelter. You are our hiding place.
Dear reader, you need to be grafted into Him; you need to be rooted in Him. You need to be built in Him. Bible verses about protection and safety:
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him
Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
He has saved you.
He saves you and He will keep on saving you and one day He will utterly save you.
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
The joy of the Lord be your strength.
