Proverbs 1:24a, KJV
The wisdom in this proverb is depicted as a person. Wisdom is calling people and they do not want to listen to her and don’t want her counsel. Jesus is the wisdom of God.
While Jesus was on earth, he said,
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest; Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls, for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30
He calls through His Word.
He calls through the preachers of the Gospel.
He calls through the reading of Christian books.
People have the free will to choose or reject his call. He calls with great love and compassion. But man still refuses and rejects His call of love.
Do you accept or reject his call? Have you accepted his call? The ball is in your court. Think about it.
May the Lord grant you His grace and you take the step to accept His call of love.
