And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
Romans 16:20, KJV
Dear Friend, here is a beautiful promise for you and me: The Lord will bruise the head of the enemy, Satan, our adversary. The ISV uses the word crush.
You will crush the head of the enemy under your feet. Is it true? Is it false? Is it a hard truth to swallow? Is it impossible? You can have your own answer. Everybody has his own answer, according to his or her spiritual understanding and depth.
God is the source of all peace. Now we live in this world and we are moving toward our final destination. We are constantly on the move. We lack peace in our individual lives. I have experienced it many times. I am confident that sometimes you have gone through the same situation. You will find Biblical meaning of bruised in this devotional. You need peace.
There are UNO Peace Keeping Forces in many war torn countries of the world. By force they keep the peace. Isn’t it strange? We are missing peace. We do lack peace. The Bible says that God is the source of all peace. Real peace comes through God. God sent his son Jesus to die on the Cross and through His shed blood on Calvary, He made peace with us. He wants this peace between man and man. Then this peace must be within us.
Our enemy wants to disturb our peace. He makes assaults on our peace. He tries his best to make us panic. The Bible says that God will help you to crush the head of Satan under your feet. At the moment it seems that the enemy is not fully crushed, he is only half dead. Christ has defeated him fully and He has given us the power to defeat our enemy.
We are living in a fallen world and we must fight with our enemy on a regular basis. Remember this: He has already been fully defeated! He wants to attack on our peace. He wants to make us panic, he wants to discourage us. He wants to mislead and misguide us.
You have a bright promise; you will crush the skull of the enemy. You have to be bold enough, stand firm on the promises of God almighty. We cannot crush his head by our own strength but God will help us to do so. We need His help. We have to ask Him.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you
Matthew 7:7, KJV
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shallbe opened
Matthew 7:8, KJV
It is all a game of trust and faith. Trust and obey, there is no other way.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be upon you. How much grace do we need to fight this war? This grace is free. This grace is in abundant. This grace is sufficient for all our needs. He covers us with His grace.
He grants us His grace to move forward. By and through His grace we are more than conquerors. Let us ask for grace for all our moment-by-moment needs.
God bless you.
